I saw this little striped number while I was working at Nordstrom ,and the rest is history; that baby became mine. and I was obsessed. It was simple, yet different. It was a piece I instantly fell in love with for both it’s patten and shape. I saw endless possibilities for it as a staple in both my summer and fall/winter wardrobes. So here it is for summer; at least one of the many ways I’ll be wearing it this summer. I took what could be seen as simple and took it up a notch with a great, moto-inspired vest and statement body chain then finished it off with a killer combination of holographic, pointed-toe shoes and floral socks.

Stonehenge Style
As I was getting dressed to go see a pile of rocks that I can only imagine came to be by aliens, I figured I should wear an outfit nearly as perplexing. This patchwork, denim-on-denim look was perfect from the second I put it on. This top and jean combination wasn’t initially purchased to be worn together. The top isn’t even mine, actually, it’s Samantha’s. But the instant I combined these two pieces into a Canadian tuxedo, I knew it was meant to be. The proportions of the shirt perfectly flattered the high-waist of these inspired-by-mom jeans and the floral, cropped sweater broke up the denim. It wasn’t a simple way to break it up because of the florals, but I loved it for that. These jeans were easily one of my best purchases while here in London. I can dress then up for a fancy, London dinner with some chunky heels or down with booties and a loose, cropped sweater. I’m expecting I’ll be wearing them a lot with my new, leopard Birkenstocks (yes!) and a loose tank when I head back to sunny Southern California.

Full Bloom
Spring is finally upon us meaning we can start to see the emergence of buds poking through the once barren branches that occupied this Parisian winter landscape. However, that didn’t stop me from my sporting my cropped ASOS sweater featuring roses in full bloom. Being a sunny so-cal girl and spending so much time under the grey skies of London and, in this case Paris, it was time for some bright spring time spirit. Although there may still be light showers, wind, or cloudy skies in our future forecasts, everything looks so much brighter in a great spring ensemble. Paired with a polka dot skirt, for the perfect mixing of prints, I was ready to enjoy the early signs of spring and beautiful sights of Paris.

Day & Night : Barcelona
Part two of our Barcelona adventure included brunch in the city, flea market shopping downtown, gourmet burgers by the beach, a surprise stop for jewelry shopping, and chupitos con fuego (shots on fire!) at night. We were definitely busy soaking in all of the beauty and character of this incredible city.
With big plans, today’s look was all about keeping it simple. A navy slip dress with black lace trim from Zara, Steve Madden combat boots, and a punch of color and excitement with my bright floral kimono from ASTR. The jewelry were all finds in Barcelona. The antique pocket watch necklace was all mine after a quick barter at the local flea market, and the small pendant with the phrase, “the best is yet to come” was an exciting find at a local boutique by jewelry designer Ena Macana. Literally her stuff is amazing!
By night I was ready to black out. Or should I say go out in all black (and a gold kimono). My black Zara skort and embellished Topshop top was perfect for exploring the city at night. Espit Chupitos gave us the most interesting array of shots and shooters which they lit on fire, a daring experience to say the least. And dessert was served in courses at Espai Sucre, each better and more fascinating than the next.
Barcelona couldn’t have been a more enjoyable experience. But our next stop, Paris, inspired the chic fashionista within me. Trips to the Lourve, Eiffle Tower, and Artist’s Quarters only left me wanting more time to explore- and shop. Those Parisian looks are soon to come!!

Floral. Duh.
Sometimes, I put on an outfit and it speaks to me but not in the way that leaves me with something to write about. I just like it, okay. I love this outfit, but the only thing I can praise is the $2.50 muscle tee. I could wear it with almost everything. It’s long enough to wear with something mid-rise, yet short enough for all my high-waisted beauties. It hangs loose, yet fits well. It has it all, and I think you all should run out and buy one. It’s great for looking sexy and carefree at the same time or for throwing on during those days when you have no idea what to wear. If you do not think it is for you, then buy 10 for a friend. Pair it with an amazing hat or leather jacket and grungy lipstick. They’ll wear it once and then they won’t know which fashion god hit them. And they’ll have you to thank for that.

Gloomy Garden Party
Attending or throwing a Garden Party is something I often dream of and one day will no longer be a dream but a memory. There’s something about the clothing and decorations that just gets me swooning. These parties are mostly held during the springtime filled with bright colors, flower everything, and generally Gwyneth Paltrow and Stella McCartney. I was recently gifted this gorgeous blazer and it reminded me of a Garden party. So I decided today I would dress for a gloomy Garden Party held in the Fall. I envision just as many florals, delightful tea cups, Gwyneth and Stella, of course but with an added dose of edge and fall-ready clothing.
